Carl Chesna
Carl was born in Tarrytown, NY, and played in local bands from the age of 13 until he moved to NYC's East village at age 23. He lived in New York for about 10 years, performing regularly in and around the city, and formed the Record Label "The Regular Recording Company", aka "Regular Records". What started as a vanity label ended up growing to promote a healthy roster of NYC-based artists - a diverse group, musically, including: 46bliss, Abby Straus, Amy Coleman, and Lasonya Gunther. He relocated to Asbury Park, NJ, and has been there ever since. He performs in and around Asbury Park on a regular basis, and will soon begin re-recording his second release, "Prayer to the Black Madonna". He has started the Asbury Wax Cylinder Recordings label, and writes the Mercury Retrograde Society column for Aquarian Music Magazine.
